Had the urge to try and write MD2 model loader/render for PB this morning. Turns out to be pretty simple.. The demo shows a couple of animated dragon models being rendered with alpha blending to make it a little bit more interesting. Even though the demo is written in PlayBasic V1.64j and the code is pretty ugly, it still runs pretty well considering.

Holly is a scrolling platformer where the player controls a ball with several weapons and puzzle items to use. While this is a TechDemo focusing upon the initial game engine, it's already looking pretty interesting.

This is a little example that shows of how one can achieve a simple overhead light source with shadow effect. In the demo the mouse represents the light sources position. The hard environment is a vector world, there's no clipping, so the light source can move through the solid space.. Use the mouse button to change the light colour.

I implemented the best possible Pong A.I. At least I can think of no way to improve it, if you have an idea, please tell me. Since the bots are inhuman good, it's really funny watching them fight against each other, so I recommend pressing 3 at the beginning. If you want to see how the AI works, press Space.

SMM allows you to create and edit maps for use primarily in PlayBasic. Maps may be made up of multiple layers and contain multiple levels. For more information see the README.txt file attached.

Hello! This is just a quick little game I made to test out an idea. It's a pretty simple mario style game, you have your little hero who can jump on monster heads, and if you hit blocks with your head coins or power-ups can fall out (including shuriken, which you can fire at monsters). The game has three worlds, each consisting of three levels followed by a boss fight.
